Mixing PRP and Mesotherapy

ARTISTIC AESTHETIC MEDICINE

Mixing PRP and Mesotherapy

Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, and mesotherapy are both non-invasive aesthetic treatments for rejuvenating the skin – helping to turn back the clock for a youthful, more radiant look. However, what you might not know is that combining the two treatments can enhance the effects for outstanding results. Have a read below to find out more about what results you can expect from combining PRP with mesotherapy, and why we recommend this as opposed to individual treatments at the Dr Rasha Clinic in Knightsbridge.

What is PRP and Mesotherapy?

During combined PRP and mesotherapy treatment, your own platelets from a sample of your blood are used with small amounts of hyaluronic acid and a unique blend of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acid – and are then injected into targeted areas of the skin. This is different to traditional mesotherapy, which only uses a specifically formulated cocktail of vitamins, minerals, and acids. During the treatment, your aesthetic practitioner will take a small amount of blood and separate it into red and white blood cells, plasma, and platelets. The plasma-rich platelets are then stimulated in order to release the vast amount of growth factors within. The treatment can be used to improve the appearance of a wide variety of unsightly skin issues, such as cellulite, stretch marks, hair loss, and wrinkle reduction, improving the appearance of uneven skin, skin laxity, and skin hydration.

Why Combine Aesthetic Treatments?

Combined PRP and mesotherapy treatment stimulates the production of collagen and elastin proteins, which are essential for skin repair, and works from the inside out for a healthy, glowing effect. By combining mesotherapy with PRP treatment, the procedure is enriched with the advantages of both, allowing Dr Rasha to take full advantage of the healing properties of the plasma and platelets in the patient’s own blood, helping to encourage cell production and the natural restorative functions of the skin. Combining PRP and mesotherapy stimulates the natural mechanism of healing and produces results that outlast those of traditional mesotherapy treatment, lasting up to six months.

At the Dr Rasha Clinic in Knightsbridge, the expert technique that Dr Rasha Rakhshani provides ensures the procedure is virtually a pain-free experience. Your bespoke PRP and mesotherapy treatment plan will be determined at your consultation, and tailored specifically to your unique needs.
