Traditional rhinoplasty is finally taking a backseat in favour of safer, non-surgical alternatives. Over the past year, the demand for nose reshaping performed with dermal fillers has increased by 29%, in part due to the popularisation of non-invasive aesthetic treatments by celebrities and social media personalities. But, what is non-surgical rhinoplasty, and what can it achieve?
Non-surgical nose augmentation is a complex procedure performed using dermal fillers, administered through very fine needles and in tiny amounts underneath the skin. Most of today’s modern fillers actually contain a small amount of anaesthetic too, so the process is completely pain-free and can be performed properly in a fifteen minute appointment, with immediate results and no downtime. It should only ever be performed by a qualified and experienced medical professional, but thankfully this has been one of my favourite procedures to perform throughout my career in medical aesthetics.
Although most individuals with concerns over the size and shape of their nose consider that surgical rhinoplasty is their only corrective option, that is no longer the case. Dermal fillers such as Hyaluronic Acid and Juvederm can offer the same results than surgical procedures, with none of the risk. I have actually treated many patients that previously made the decision to go under the knife with another surgeon for their nose reshaping, but have been asked to use dermal fillers to correct unsuccessful procedures. For me, I find that this alone proves how great the results can be from the correct application of dermal fillers in the nose.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a very rewarding experience for my clients, and often produces incredibly transformative results without their faces appearing drastically different. Many people come to see me with crooked, enlarged, hooked, or dipped noses and bridges that they think are beyond correction. However, I first complete an analysis of my clients’ face and other features, and assess the specific concerns they have with their nose. At this point, I design and tailor a treatment solution with the client to address their insecurities and reshape their nose. The most successful treatments require a small amount of filler above and below the bridge of the nose to create a smooth, straight profile that many of my clients desire, and adore when complete. I always use my signature techniques to perfectly administer the filler, but also use my artistic judgement and keen eye to design a treatment that will suit my clients’ face and their other features, so that their new nose shape will look great for the full 12-18 months of its lifetime.
Non-surgical nose job is an effective treatment that can be performed perfectly in a short amount of time, to achieve life-changing results and build unbelievable confidence in my clients. It’s one of my favourite procedures to perform because I love seeing the satisfaction on my clients’ faces, as the results are immediately apparent.
