Profhilo Treatments In London
Of these, Profhilo has long been amongst our most popular procedures and we’ve always taken great pride in using this revolutionary skin hydration treatment to inflict a noticeable change on complexions that have become compromised by a range of internal and external factors, from the adverse effects of smoking or a poor diet to the inevitable onset of the ageing process.
What is Profhilo?
Often mistaken for a type of dermal filler, Profhilo is an anti-ageing solution that works to rehydrate and remodel the skin from within. Like many trusted forms of injectable, it contains a large amount of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance notable for its ability to hold 1000 times its own weight in water. Yet, where dermal fillers work to plump out – or “fill” – a particular part of the body, Profhilo improves the condition and quality of the skin as a whole by adding some much-needed nourishment to the areas in question.
How does Profhilo work?
Thanks to its high concentration of hyaluronic acid, Profhilo stimulates the production of collagen and elastin – two essential proteins that naturally deplete over time – to restore some tautness, elasticity and freshness to skin that has begun to give way to the ravages of age. When injected into the parts of the body that require restoration – the face, arms, hands, knees, neck or decolletage – Profhilo can tighten, smooth and even reduce the visibility of minor fine lines and wrinkles and is most effective when administered over the course of two treatments separated by a period of around four weeks.
