Treatment overview
As we get older, our face is subject to a whole host of changes. As we age, the connective tissues within the skin weaken, resulting in wrinkling, sagging, and alteration of the shape of the face. In our youth, our face is more inclined to a classic “heart-shaped” look, characterised by a wider forehead and cheeks and tapering into a smaller, pointed chin. As we get older, and connective tissues are less able to provide support to the skin, resulting in skin laxity. This changes the shape of the face, resulting in a more bottom-heavy, oblong look.
When looking to minimise the characteristics of ageing within the skin, the forehead is often neglected. However, it is important to consider the area carefully in your aesthetic plans in order to provide structure to the face and promote a more youthful appearance. Anti-wrinkle solutions such as dermal fillers can often help to reshape the forehead to rebalance facial harmony, whilst simultaneously adding volume and hydration to the skin in order to “plump up” the area and smooth out deeper lines and wrinkles.
Reshaping the forehead can help provide balance to the face for a more harmonious look. With a background in fine art and extensive aesthetic experience, Dr Rasha can help determine the best look to enhance your natural beauty during your consultation.
